Vocal range describes the distance between the lowest and highest musical pitches you can sing. If you do not know note names by ear, finding those boundaries manually can be difficult.
This online vocal range tester uses your microphone to estimate the pitch you are singing and match it to a musical note. As you explore your voice, detected notes appear directly on the piano keyboard.
A note is added to the measured range only after the tool has heard the same musical note long enough to confirm it. Small natural changes in frequency do not necessarily mean you have changed notes.
A bigger number is not the goal.
Do not force uncomfortable low or high sounds simply to extend the result. Explore notes you can intentionally produce and sustain.

What is my vocal range?
Your vocal range is the span between the lowest and highest musical pitches you can sing. This test measures that span from notes confirmed through your microphone.
How do I find my vocal range online?

Can I test my vocal range with a microphone?

Why does the current pitch move while I sing?
Natural singing contains small pitch changes, vibrato and transitions. The displayed frequency can therefore move slightly even while the detected musical note remains the same.
How many octaves can I sing?
After the test identifies your lowest and highest confirmed notes, it calculates the musical distance between them. Twelve semitones equal one octave.
Does this test determine my voice type?
