Analyze Your Mix Online Before Mastering
When you have finished a mix, it is easy to become accustomed to what you have been hearing. A technical mix analysis tool gives you another way to inspect the file before you move to the next stage.
MixCheck reads the decoded audio signal and calculates measurements that can expose areas worth checking: unusually high peaks, repeated samples near full scale, limited peak-to-average difference, unusual stereo relationships or a strongly concentrated frequency range.
A measurement is evidence, not a mixing rule.
A bass-heavy track is not automatically wrong. A narrow stereo image is not automatically wrong. The report tells you what is present in the signal so you can decide whether it matches your intention.
DIAGNOSIS VS DECISION
“What Is Wrong With My Mix?”
That question cannot be answered reliably from measurements alone. A mix is a creative result, and the same numerical characteristic can be appropriate in one production and undesirable in another.
An audio mix analyzer is more useful when you ask narrower questions. Are there samples at or near digital full scale? How much peak-to-average difference is present? Is the stereo signal showing an unusual relationship? Where is the spectral energy concentrated?
MixCheck turns those questions into a readable report without presenting stylistic preferences as universal technical rules.

Mix Analyzer Questions
Can I analyze my mix online for free?
Yes. MixCheck is a free online mix analysis tool on this page. Select a supported WAV or MP3 and the browser calculates the measurements used in the technical report.
Can this mix checker tell me what is wrong with my mix?
It can identify measurable characteristics that may deserve attention, such as samples near full scale, peak-to-average behavior, spectral energy distribution and stereo correlation. It cannot determine whether a creative mixing choice is objectively wrong.
Should I check my mix before mastering?
Technical inspection can be useful before mastering because it gives you another opportunity to examine the exported mix. The appropriate levels, dynamics and tonal balance still depend on the production and the intended mastering workflow.
Is RMS the same as LUFS?
No. RMS measures signal energy and does not use the same loudness model as LUFS. For dedicated loudness measurements, use the LUFS Meter .
What does stereo correlation tell me?
It describes the statistical relationship between the left and right channels. Positive values indicate greater similarity, while strongly negative behavior can be a reason to inspect phase and mono compatibility more closely.
Does MixCheck replace reference-track comparison?
No. This page analyzes one mix on its own. If your intent is to compare your track with another recording, use the Reference Track Matcher .
Does the mix analyzer upload my audio?
The MixCheck implementation on this page performs its decoding and measurements in the browser. The selected file is not required to be sent to Ronter Sound in order to generate this report.
